Taryen, was the name of the planet that held the ritual of sacrifice to the planet. Within the very own planet’s solitary castle. The grey brick castle was the only one of its kind, on the planet Taryen It stood proudly amongst the red sand that was known to the small planet.
It was also a place of black and white, it withheld a secret that was engraved into the very soil of the ground. The planet held a power source that had killed many in times of war. Hex as it was called, was what not only held the sacred planet together but was the very weapon that the capital wheedled to create a measure of peace amongst the citizens. If only it was that easy to begin with.
Men were always addicted to power, if a creature like that came in contact to the powerful source chaos would appear. The elders, they knew this, but did they care? No, they had been caught up too soon in the delicacies that came with power. The battery of Taryen was also not something to be controlled easily.
A deal had been struck and the Hex and the people of Taryen were able to compromise. When war escalated, the Elders would have to call upon the power of their Hex. At a price though, a human was needed for the success. A human who was beloved and well loved by or to the object that was going to be annihilated.
The Hex fed off the emotions of the sacrifice, it grew stronger with each of its darkest emotion. To achieve this though, they needed a plan. It came in the form of torture, the sacrifice would be tortured in the depths of the very castle itself, until the sacrifice’s will snapped like a fragile twig.
Then they would begin the ceremony. Dressed in the finest of clothes, the sacrifice would then be brought to the stadium to be devoured whole from the inside out.
This brutal ceremony continued until the end of the Age of Manmade Creation. The age of metal and technology. It ended with Robin. A girl whose very determination to live caused her to swallow the hex within her very own body. The Hex had been devoured in the end, Robin had become lost in the aftermath. She had not survived the brutal beating the hex caused her sanity.
She may have wished to live, but she was all but gone from the world after she had swallowed the battery. Time of changed had come, and the power was much too powerful for the young heroic passivists of the age.
They decided to seal in the end. The four heros sealed a small part of the power into themselves. Not as lethal as what Robin had taken in, but it was just enough to cause the four to fall to their knees in pain.
For the years to come, each man would seal the power source to the first born child of the line, may it be male of female. That child would then have the duty of protecting the Hex and making sure that it was never to be connected to its other parts.
The Hex had a way of being known, you just had to look close enough . . .
Such as the tale of the returning of this, Hex. Peace was never one to stay for long.

OOc: ok, I'm just clearing up confusions for me. The setting is the planet Taryen, that has a city of black and white, correct? and the hex is this magical power that wa sealed away because of blah blah blah, and now the four decendents of the heros that sealed away the hex.
that all right? xD

Booths in the open market usually were crowded, except for Nada's and her family. There they sold things they grew from their garden or raised on their little farm, nothing like fancy clothing or jewelry that was sold all around them. Either than the low customer rate, the family made a reasonable profit of what they had to give.
“Nada, your good looks will only get you trouble,” Nada’s father said teasingly, his emerald eyes sparkled with joy, just like Nada’s, “It’s my shift now, go, relax a bit. Your mother found some really nice fruit down that way.” He pointed down to his left and smiled. Nada smiled as she ran to the back room and threw on her favorite black shawl over her green work dress; then she ran out gave her father a thumbs up and continued on her way, looking for her mother.
It took her awhile, but she finally found her mother. She had a basket full of fruit, and was now looking at some fancy clothing that caught her eye.
“You know, blue isn’t your color,” Nada reached over and whispered in her mother’s ear.
“And you will know when to keep your mouth shut,” Nada’s mother smirked and turned around to face her daughter. “Anyways, you’re right; blue makes me look like a big candy puff. I see you’re on your break, what do you want to do?”
Nada thought for a moment then thought of her long hair. It was a strange color of brown, with black and white highlights. “I would fancy something for my hair, if it wouldn’t be a bother for you.”
Her mother gave her a look of ‘I hate it when you’re right about yourself’ look, and they both continued on their way stopping to look at random jewelry booths to see what was around them. Nothing caught Nada’s eyes, she was a plain and simple girl, everything was too fancy or shinny for her taste. They continued on, until they couldn’t travel any further due to people blocking the road; one of the booths was displaying a new item that got ever one round up about.
“What is it?” Nada’s mother ask, for she was short for her age, even Nada was taller than her.
“It’s something shinny and moves all by itself. I don’t know what it is?” Nada answered as she pushed her way through the crowd of people to get closer so she could hear what was going on, leaving her mother behind.
“That’s right folks, this here is a ‘Machine’, it’s been years since you seen one I know. But imagine what this thing could do. No more cutting by hands, it cuts for you, and if you can imagine that, just think what could come in due time. This small village has been without them for too long.” Nada heard enough, and in due time managed to find her mother waiting for her and told her everything.
“I don’t like the sound of that,” Nada’s mother was contemplating if this ‘Machine’ was good news. “I mean, we got through life just fine without one.”
“Come on, just because a story has been handed down from your for fathers about this ‘Machine’ being evil, I think not.” For the first time, Nada was fighting with her mother. “Just because something bad happen back then, when that Robin girl died, doesn’t mean it could happen now!” With those final words there was silence between the two, until they got back to their booth.

Robin, the name was an omen amongst many of the people. Her tale had been twisted and turned into many shapes and forms that were told to the children of the aftermath. Her name was kept a secret amongst the people at times. The Hex was a devil’s advocate, and times were much peaceful now anyway. Except for the select few, the Hex still affected those around to this very day . . .
Anguish, and it was like a slap to the face. His muffled screams broke out as he curled himself tighter up into the ball, holding his stomach tighter. He bit his bottom lip harder as he tried to keep himself from crying out. He was a man, he could take the pain like he always did, but this time it was far worse.
The pain had only started thirty minutes ago, but it had crawled up his spin like a spider. Then out of nowhere it had taken him in its stronghold. He had collapsed in the marketplace, it was happening again. The part of the Hex he had sealed in his body had met another member of the family. It wasn’t as surprising as it usually was, he had just been minding his own business when out of nowhere he had crumpled.
He coughed out a strangled laugh at the irony of the situation. Here he was, on the floor gasping for breath when the other probably hadn’t even felt a change in their body. It would only be until later that night when the Hex would strike. Heh, it had taken him at least a decade to realize just what type of power he held in his small boyish body. The descendant of the original sealer, the first born to be exact.
“That’s . . . just . . . messed up . . . ”He spoke sarcastically, his breathing hard and short gasps of air.
The hotel room he had managed to crawl himself into was a mess. It had mostly to do with his haste entry, all he needed was the seal. With that little charm he could stall the pain for just little more time. The small paper seal was powerful one, if it was able to pacify the small amount of the Hex within him, then it was a powerful seal.
Only thing bad about it was that it took forever to stall the gut-wrenching pain in his body. At least it worked though, he was grateful for that. His voice came back on as another round of internal beating took its toll on the young man. Silent scream after another broke from his cracked voice box.
‘So much for a man . . . ’ He thought, his ego would forever be insulted by how girly he screamed.
His body was covered in sweat and was feverish, it would all be over soon. Just give it a few more minutes.
He sighed. Dragging a shaky hand through his mud colored hair. The long hair had come out of the low ponytail he had set it into earlier.
“I....may like to fish . . . but . . . I rather not go . . . fishing for . . . rubber bands . . . ” His coughing took a hold of him during his statement.
Riku fisted the shoulder length strands in his grip as his other hand grabbed his stomach harder. If people asked him what was wrong, he’d blame it on food poisoning . . .

Done~! Now we wait for Snoweh to post! ^^'
